iFlightDeck Pro ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use the iFlightDeck Pro mobile application, website, and related services, including the separate Pilot Gate Report application (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not use your information to serve targeted advertisements. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertising networks.

Analytics collected through Firebase Analytics is used solely to improve app performance and user experience. Device identifiers collected for this purpose are not used to build advertising profiles or linked to your identity for advertising.

3. Location Data

The Services may request access to your precise device location when submitting a gate report, solely to verify that you are physically near the reported airport. We do not track your location in the background, store GPS coordinates beyond the verification check, or share your location with other users. You may disable location permissions at any time in your device Settings.

6. Information Visible to Other Users

The following may be visible to authenticated users: pilot username, airline affiliation, base airport, aircraft type, crew role, profile photograph, gate reports and photographs, comments and notes, rankings and leaderboard information, and schedule information you explicitly choose to share. Direct messages are private and visible only to the conversation participants.

7. Crew Schedule Sharing

Schedule data remains private by default and is shared only with users you specifically authorize. Calendar feed URLs are stored securely and are never publicly displayed. You may revoke access at any time.

8. User Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant iFlightDeck Pro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content solely for operation of the Services. Users should not upload confidential airline information, security-sensitive airport information, proprietary documents, or personal information belonging to third parties.

Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Firebase Analytics. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Google Places API — Used for hotel searches and location-based services. See policies.google.com/privacy.

SendGrid (Twilio) — Transactional email delivery for password resets and account communications. See twilio.com/legal/privacy.

Apple App Store — If you download the app through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain information in accordance with its own privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

10. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications for new messages, gate report activity, schedule sharing requests, and account security notices. You may disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion request, personal account information is generally removed within 30 days, except where legally required. Historical gate reports may remain in anonymized form to preserve community reporting integrity.

12. Account Deletion

You may delete your account using the Delete Account option within the app or by contacting support@iflightdeckpro.com. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

13. Security

We implement commercially reasonable safeguards including encrypted HTTPS/TLS communications, secure Firebase Authentication, access-controlled Firestore rules, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is completely secure.

14. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for aviation professionals and individuals at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

15. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents may request to know what personal information we hold, request deletion, or request correction. We do not sell personal information. Submit requests to support@iflightdeckpro.com.

16. International Users (GDPR)

Users in the European Economic Area may have additional rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability. Submit requests to support@iflightdeckpro.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated Effective Date and, where appropriate, by in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using iFlightDeck Pro or the separate Pilot Gate Report app (collectively, the "Apps"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms constitute an agreement between you and iFlightDeck Pro only — not with Apple Inc. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Apps or their content.

1. Description of Service

iFlightDeck Pro provides cockpit training and aircraft systems familiarization content. Pilot Gate Report is a separate companion app for community-based airport gate condition reporting. Both apps are intended for aviation professionals and students for educational and informational purposes only.

2. Relationship with Apple

These Terms are between you and iFlightDeck Pro, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for the Apps. Apple is not responsible for any product claims, warranty claims, legal compliance issues, or third-party claims relating to the Apps. You must comply with the Apple App Store Terms of Service when using the Apps on Apple devices. You acknowledge and agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us permission to store, display, and distribute it within the Services. You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and regulations. You represent that you own or have the rights to any content you submit.

4. Prohibited Content

Users may not submit false information, offensive or harassing content, confidential airline information, proprietary operational documents, airport security-sensitive information, personal information belonging to third parties, or content that violates applicable law or regulation.

5. No Operational Reliance

The Apps do not replace airline procedures, aircraft operating manuals, company communications, airport operations guidance, maintenance instructions, or regulatory requirements. Gate report information is community-submitted and may not be accurate. Never rely on these Apps for operational decisions.

6. Training Content Disclaimer

Cockpit training content is provided for study, familiarization, and educational purposes only. It does not constitute official training, qualification, certification, or regulatory compliance. Always refer to current official documentation and approved training programs.

7. Leaderboards and Rankings

Leaderboards, Mayor designations, badges, and rankings are for community engagement only. They do not represent official authority, operational seniority, or any form of professional recognition.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. iFlightDeck Pro does not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iFlightDeck Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Apps, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and software within the Apps are the property of iFlightDeck Pro or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

11. Intellectual Property Claims

iFlightDeck Pro, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the Apps or your use of the Apps, including any intellectual property infringement claims.

12. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government prohibited or restricted parties list.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent reporting, harassment, abuse of community features, unauthorized access, or submission of prohibited content, at our sole discretion.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will provide notice of material changes through the app or by email where appropriate.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
